In new to this whole editing thing on nhl view but which numbers do I change to get these edits, portrait id or head id?

Head Id is for the "In-Game Face"
Portrait ID is for the actual "Real Face"

Majority of the time your changing the Head ID, think most players have Portraits (obviously not all but most)

Suprisingly, yes. At least the ones I've tried so far. However, the generic faces have been changed from 10000s to 60000s.

Well, I can't say for sure (because I'm not sure which are the really old ones), but the "Fredrick Modin" cyberface is still usable (I use it for Matt Martin). So, that's an "old" one, yes?
