Lucky enough to have Moose's roster file with the face edits and it is amazing! If you weren't stoked before - get excited. HUGE improvement over the defaults.

It's gratifying to hear that. You lucked out, getting my actual file, because I've done a lot of tinkering and re-assigning faces that I've yet to include on the list in this thread, so you've got the "best yet" version. You also got a bunch of guys that I assigned the Bauer 4500 helmet to, which isn't actually "in" the game, so you're lucky there as well.

Don't try editing the helmet for: Dubinsky, Seabrook, Gudbranson, G. Campbell, Winnik, Getzlaf, Klesla, O. Jokinen, Scuderi, Morrow, Stewart, Bouwmeester, Bjugstad, Matthias, Asham, Stoner, O'Reilly or you'll lose the 4500, which is what they all currently wear in the NHL. I was only able to do these guys because they don't wear visors. For some reason, you can't get the 4500 to work with a visor. I'm sure I might have left one or two of the guys I did off of that list, but if you load a player and notice they're wearing the 4500, don't go into the helmet selection screen, or you will lose it.

I've changed Garrison around a few times, but I invite you to suggest a face that actually looks like him. Right now I'm using face 48 or 49, which has a dark beard but still doesn't look like him. When you're looking for a bearded model, your options become extremely limited, so you do the best you can. These aren't custom faces, they're just the closest you can get using the generics the game has.

It's going to be a while before my rosters, attribute wise, are where I want them to be.

The following link, however, is a 99.9% up to date list of edits and I've made a roster file, based off EA's latest roster update, that has all of my face changes applied to it. I will make that available for download shortly.

I'll try to get the roster up this week. I have to do a 48 hour training exercise for the AF from Monday night to Wednesday night, but I'll try to get you guys EA's newest roster with all faces updated by Thursday if I don't get it posted later tonight.

The helmet IDs: How exactly do you edit that? Who do those edits apply to?

That was there more for myself but you guys can use it as well. Helmet #1 is the Bauer 4500, which is a popular helmet but isn't supposed to be in the game. It was found to still be usable, but hidden, by another member here. The caveat being, you can't use a visor with the helmet. I went through a bunch of pictures for every team and made a list of all the guys who use the 4500 without a visor and that list of numbers at the end of the doc is their player ID #s. These are guys like Dubinsky, Seabrook, Getzlaf, O'Reilly and others. If you want to add these changes, go to the "xmja" tab at the top of the editor, find the column labeled helmet and change the value to 1 for the Player IDs listed.

Went thru roster #4 and found some faces from players no longer in the nhl you might wanna use so your not limited to the ea generics...

I thought about doing that as well. The only issue I ran into, and it was more just my own laziness with having to work on so many players, was not remembering what each of those cybers looked like when considering applying them to an existing player. As one example, I did give Loktionov of NJ Frolov's face and Coyle of Minnesota Sjostrom's face because I knew they fit. If anyone wants to make some suggestions for current players that the above cybers might be appropriate for, of have no problem adding them.

Well what I'm doing for some of my caps is going with hair color/facial hair. If one of those faces has the same hair color, I'd rather have more variety in player faces than just the ea default ones.

Also, I was looking at that head you were talking about, the one with the helmet placement problem. Well it's not the helmet it's the head itself. If you scroll back and forth between that one and the next, look at the neckline, you will see the head is sunk down and over to the right into the body....

I can confirm that all those faces from NHL13 are in game. Alot of them you wouldn't know who they are by looking at them, and goalie faces are good for players because you don't see them in game. To me I'll be using them instead of the generic EA faces....

You can't. It hasn't been made available to download. I still have a lot of work to put in.
