Your definitely on to something here. My friends and i all noticed when we set our sliders for different modes it just doesnt feel the same. The catch is we weren`t picking the game style every time - just going from the custom settings. I`ve also noticed in play now something keeps changing in the "feel" and this would explain it. The question is - What are they defaulting to ? What style?

Re: Possible Discovery that answers many complaints
So your saying adjust your sliders how u want them then everytime you start the next game whether u turn your system off or not
you gotta put ur sliders in again before the game at the game menu not in ur settingsComment

Re: Possible Discovery that answers many complaints
Yep. Do it in the game menu before each game. Also if you play Hardcore Simulation it changes post whistle rules to relaxed I always change back to Authentic because I like the occasional penalty after a whistle its realistic but thats personal choiceComment

Re: Possible Discovery that answers many complaints
I agree...this does make the game play a lot better.
Might just well be a coding error that EA has to fix.
My games play much more competitive now and the stone goalie feeling is gone.
I also notice some of the patch changes that EA said they did was not being seen....but with this procedure, I see them.\\Comment

Re: Possible Discovery that answers many complaints
I believe you are right on this, however I am still seeing only 1-3 power plays per game for my team as opposed to 3-10 for the CPU. I find I have to play much more in control or else see a ton of PK time, which to me, is much more realistic. (FYI, this is for BeaGM mode on PS3).Comment

Re: Possible Discovery that answers many complaints
I have read on the forums here that there is a difference in season vs. GM mode as far as penalties goes.Comment

Re: Possible Discovery that answers many complaints
I don't think the settings changing are necessarily a glitch. I think it's one of the things EA does to keep the game "fresh" and competitive. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if settings changed under the hood based on who you're playing and the record of both teams and changing it at the start screen resets the changes EA made. It's been in EA games for years, no matter who you're playing you can exit a game, play it 5 different times and get 5 different results. It's been a staple of their football series.PSN:BrrbisBrrComment

Re: Possible Discovery that answers many complaints
Hard to prove exactly what's happeing but I also think there's something to OP.
Me and a mate is playing a GMC and the last few days (6-8 games I was really bored) the games didn' play very good in and in general I wasn't enjoying it.
Yesterday my mate had lost all his settings, but I had photos on my phone of all our current sliders (nerds, I know) so we just reset all his sliders exactly as they were the day before... and then we couldn't stop playing. Went to bed at 1 o'clock last night after 4 of the best games we had since a long time. On the exact same sliders.
It really feels fresh again after you just reset the sliders.
But it can't be that the total game style is "changed" rfom customs to one of the default. For example manual passing with zero assist as we play it, we would not if that was being changed to one of the default (which is like auto pasing), but there is certainly a feeling that the game play changes to the better after a flush out of the sliders and just reset them as they were.
Bloody pain to keep doing it every day though, we need to find a quicker fix for it.
Wierd.
Thank you EA - This game is officially better than sexComment

Re: Possible Discovery that answers many complaints
Sorry a Conformation for Me....
-At your GM/Season/BAP Main Menu, go to the settings... set them to the "Defaults" you use
(Some will be Suprstar/Hardcore Sim, some will be Pro/Sim, and so on, but leave it all default)
-Save the Sliders
(still Defaults)
-Start a Game, and after the Select Jerseys/Sides you have a chance to change the Settings
-Change the Sliders to "your set"
(now when you leave the game the sliders revert back to the "Defaults")
-Just remember to change the Sliders after you Select Sides and Set-Up Lines before each game
(doesnt need to be in the Main Menu Settings Screen)
Correct?......
Im changing my sliders to something different every 2-4 Game or so.... this actually makes some sense
ha
have to try this, i wouldnt mind changing Sliders before every game in that PreMenu thing....not bad at all for better gameplayComment
