Just curious - why do you have the CPU acceleration higher than human? I tried your sliders and like them quite a bit after I made the acceleration even.

can someone give me a tip, with goalie reaction at 1, i can't seem to score more then 1 maybe 2 goals, with goalie reaction at 0, I can score way to easy, with these sliders, what will help scoring or not scoring depending on reaction time.

I tried to play with gamespeed at 0. But it just was too slow for me and also the gameplay seem to stutter when at 0. At least for me.
I'm trying gamespeed 1 now with same player acceleration as Sknapple.

absolutely too slow for me, and the cpu almost never misses passes even with these sliders. thanks for posting though

I found out that with the attribute effects at 0 everyone skated really slow.
When I cranked it up to 5 or 6 every skater had the speed of roadrunner even with game speed at 0.

I tried these, and as with all the other sliders I've tried I'm still just completely dominating the CPU every game. Shots are like 50-10. Are there any adjustments that you would recommend?

I should add that my main gripe is with the defense. I feel like I'm allowed to enter the zone at will because I'm never challenged at the blue line, and the same can be said about cycling the puck around and finding open lanes.

Maybe bump up CPU aggression slider and if that dont work combine that with upping the CPU difficulty.

Tried that. I'm going to try going with version 1.00 and see if that makes a difference.

I like this a lot @sknapple. I've noticed two so far unmentioned issues that I'm wondering if others have experienced.

1: Face-offs are now impossible. I literally lose every single one. This is even after moving the AI face-off slider all the way down and reducing the game difficulty. Even when it says I get the timing right it either comes up with "lower skill level" or "lost faceoff" and I am stumped.

2: My teamates seem to be repelled by the presence of a loose puck. This is especially true of pucks behind or around my own net. The other team will have 3 players back there and hack away until they eventually score.

Anyone experience this or have any advice?

I picked this game up for 10 bucks and I have to say if neutral zone pressure and goalies not warping were non issues for me, the game would be really good. Those two things bother me. It is what it is though, as many of us have said year after year. These sliders are very solid though. They play a much looser brand of hockey. It feels much more like hockey. This game just needs cleaning up in the neutral zone and defensive zone to prevent guys getting chances from the slot every time. If that happens for NHL 17 I can see myself finally buying this game day 1 for the first time in 4 years.

I feel like the puck plays a lot more loose if you're using this slider setup with the original game tuner out of the box.

Just a quick check in, been gone for a while, sorry about my lack of replies! Looks like a few of you were enjoying the settings with your own tweaks! I picked up the game again, what with playoffs on and all, and made a few adjustments to the settings myself, which I modified in my original post. I have marked them in red if you want to try them out. Just small tweaks mostly, but the biggest one is for the pass assist, I have put that one at zero. It is much more challenging to connect a pass now, and my pass percentages are in the toilet, but for some reason I also noticed the CPU will have more difficulty at times connecting passes with the adjustments I made. My already 'loose' game feels just a bit more 'loose' now, I think anyway! I also changed the acceleration sliders to switch the Human and CPU settings around, was finding things a bit too challenging (guess I am getting too old and my reflexes are shot!). A few other minor tweaks here and there as well. Anyhow, give em a try! I tried to go back to default settings once, and just about threw my controller through the TV! I have so much more fun with this game after the changes I made, not perfect, but fun! I hope some of you out there have also found your happy place. Here's looking forward to NHL 17, keep your sticks on the ice!

Made the changes. Wow. Game got smoother. Don't look at the score I totally dominated thru 2! My PP is also on fire!

Ottawa passing percentage after 1 period was 47%.
