You didn't watch the many MLB 2K9 glitch vids on Youtube I guess.

To be honest, I stay away from things like that. I don't want to ruin my experience by knowing about every glitch. Major bugs? yes, but there are always glitches and knowing everyone might dull my enjoyment of the game.

Its not like you even need to watch glitch vids, just play a game and watch your fielders drop routine fly balls on a regular basis. Or send a player down thats under performing only to have them look completely different when you bring them back up (usually bald) MLB2k9 has some great presentation with the real time stuff and Thorne in the booth, the gameplay though as usual with a 2ksports game as of late is a very mixed bag.

LOL, Now that's funny. I didn't get to experience that one but it would have cracked me up for sure. It wasn't perfect but definitely better than the past few versions. I willing to give VC time to get it fixed since it was their first year with MLB. Anyone who can make a basketball game as realistic as NBA 2k and improve year after year gets all the patience in the world from me. They have a proven track record.

Fair enough, the NBA sku is generally solid, I personally liked NBA2k8 more than 2k9 due to the lack of help defense in 2k9 (players don't rotate to pick up open players) They did lose a couple key guys to the NBA Live team last year as well which might explain a few things.

Like I said, looking forward to trying it out but this has to be the year, if 2k10 does not completely blow me away I'm done with 2k hockey for awhile.

how can people say GREAT JOB 2K Or be pissed at them as far as not buying the game.. We have 2 freakin screens and a feature set...What can anyone tell about this. Truthfully I'm kinda upset at 2k because we have gotten nothing imo...Ea has release gameplay videos already.. They were sending us screens months ago. These games are coing out in september correct??? Why is there no hype for this game.. I love hockey but can only get one game...I am looking to put my preorder in very soon.

IGN has about 7 pics of the game up on their site. It actually looks really good too.

Well first of all, there is more than 2 pics. Secondly, there is suppose to be a gameplay vid next week supposedly. How can we get excited about this? Well, based on the 13 pics there are, it's an obvious graphics improvement over 2K9. Second, based on the features they have listed, they are all very welcome features. Granted, the gameplay demos will help , though I don't even put much stock into them, as there is usually idiots playing and on the default settings. So I guess yeah, wait for the demo before...wait the demo usually sucks as well. In any case, it seems quite apparent that VC is finally making 2K hockey a next gen title. That's plenty to get excited about if you're a 2K fan all in itself.

PS:The gameplay vids for EA didn't impress me, but that's most likely because of what I already said.

The truth is I can wait. It still does not come out until September. If I see some sweet videos. I am going to want it now. So I think I will be better off if they show something later..

I don't see the rush either. It's not even August yet so there is plenty of time. No need in getting tons of info 3 months before release. I'd rather have it closer to September but that's just me.
Love the features list though and the graphics looks like they have received a major upgrade.

So you think its perfectly normal to skip out on E3, and barely market/hype the game up until a week or two before ship? well ok. If everyone just went by marketing bullet point lists when making choices about which games to buy they'd have noone to blame but themselves if the title doesn't end up being as good as some list makes it out to be.

I'm sold on NHL10, why? Tons of media, dev blogs explaining the new features in detail, raw gameplay footage, communication on a regular basis with the fanbase etc etc.
2k10 will be a gamefly rent because while yes, the player models are improved theres zero way of seeing AI improvements from screenshots, or hearing from a reviewer/previewer that the glitches are indeed fixed unless they let sites like IGN or Gamespot show of the game early. etc etc.

Thats why publishers get info out months in advance of a game shipping, to get the word out, to build confidence in their product. 2k doesn't seem to get that so while they'll automatically get the 2k hardcore guys the Eddies the Venoms etc they won't get an automatic sale from the fence sitters or guys like myself who are just a bit more pessimistic and quite honestly a little worried going into 2k10.

In the long run less sales=less budget=fewer improvements next year which is bad for all parties involved. I'm not saying 2k10 is going to suck, honestly I hope its great this year as I wouldn't mind at all enjoying a 2k hockey game again, but to say marketing isn't important and showing the improvements and fixes off prior to ship isn't important, well thats a whole other ball of wax right there.

Well, I look at it like this. When does the game come out? By the time the game is out. I have a feeling 2k10 will have just as much info out as NHL10. So in the end it is all the same. The only difference is one comes out early and one wait to share info, but in the end it will be all out before the game finally comes out. So yes I can wait. And by that time I can make a good decision by the time the game comes out in September 15.
