Thanks for the link to that, BTW. Loved the look of the game. May sound strange, but it reminded me of NFL 2K5. I still prefer the looks of that game to any other football game, before or since. And like NFL 2K5, that video of NHL 2K10 oozes "Visual Concepts."

Re: No Demo for NHL 2K10
What I love is the faceoffs. When they show that up close camera and they zoom in on the back of the player's jersey. That looks so real. The numbers seem to be the right size this year too. Can't wait for Friday. I love what I am seeing.Comment

Re: No Demo for NHL 2K10
I'm impressed with the tons of incidental animations that happen as players are setting up to faceoff, or when one player bumps another, etc. Like you said, it looks real, and gives the game an incredible amount of authenticity and character.Comment

Re: No Demo for NHL 2K10
The one thing that is weak some times before the face off the players go through the ref or other players, not durning gameplay, so that is cool. I love the faceoffs and how you can tie a player. It just looks so real. Man, I want this game NOW! lol Next week will go fast for me. I only work 3 days next wek, so that is cool.Comment

Re: No Demo for NHL 2K10
Very good point on the numbers...the size was off the past few years, but they fixed it in 2k10 and the jerseys look good. I can't say enough how much they have improved this game visually over 2k9."And by the way, you know, when you're telling these little stories? Here's a good idea - have a POINT. It makes it SO much more interesting for the listener!"Comment

Re: No Demo for NHL 2K10
I like the detail, but something is missing. I think the shoudlers don't have the right font size. At least on that Joe pic they have the Shark smaller. In the pic that I put up with the real joe it looks better. In fact I think EA is pretty spot on.Comment

Re: No Demo for NHL 2K10
Great observations. This game definitely looks authentic, I'm looking forward to having this in my hands in a week or so. The animations have always been top notch IMO but they looked to have improved a lot this year.

Re: No Demo for NHL 2K10
Two sucks in one post... that I haven't seen for some time. Anyway, I thought Live sucked compared to NBA 2K. And I know FIFA doesn't suck, so good advice there. Last but not least I just beat your record.Comment

Re: No Demo for NHL 2K10
The shoulder padding is too small is what looks off. It almost looks like the players don't have padding at all under their jersey. Minor nitpick in the end though.Comment

Re: No Demo for NHL 2K10
I think that is it too, but I think they are too narrow. What I mean is they have nice wide shoulder, but they don't have enough weight on them. Oh OK I think that is what you are saying. It late I am so tired!Comment

Re: No Demo for NHL 2K10
I also think there's something funky with the jersey numbers. Someone on 2khockey pointed it out that between play, the jersey numbers look large and normal, but during the play they low-res them or something and they get skinny and strange.
I think the legs look really awesome and are proportioned right, but the uper bodies do look kinda off, don't know why. I don't think either game has nailed the skater proportions, although EA's goalies are borderline perfect in proportions and model.Comment
