You really couldn't pick a worse time for this...

I mean with the NHL 11 frenzy that will still be in full stride and all.

Just sayin'.

I think those that only want EA's game could care less when anything happens for 2k10. Those who really enjoy 2k10 and are happy to try something new (even if it is not a massive overhaul) will be pleased for the effort given.

I just don't think timing is really a factor now. I mean, 2k11 has dropped in Nth America on Wii and there is virtual silence in the impressions threads both here and on 2k hockey net. Perhaps though, its only competition (a demo sized chunk of EA's latest offerring) has been enough to distract people from opting to give 2k11 a go. If so, then maybe you could be right O-Grace!

Just an aside - I am looking forward to NHL 11 for sure, but I am also loving 2k10 and though I really liked EA's demo and where that type of hockey video game is heading I find things about 2k hockey that represent the sport really well that cannot be found in EA's interation.

Anything at any time that can keep some enthusiasm and deliver some fresh air into 2k hockey is welcomed by me. Its not just about the whole competition thing, for me, its about finding new and creative ways to eek more out of an already good hockey game.

That the series may have come to an end only makes me think all the more that I am happy to get anything for a discontinued line as we head into an uncertain future for hockey gaming which may be dominated by only one option from here on.

Doesn't there need to be some sort of roster sharing arrangement ala 2Kshare to do that???

I'm not quite sure,but I'm thinking we can use usb save files no?

NHL 2k10 project is still alive and well. Just wanted to really make sure it played better than anything previously done. Plus wanted to get more into the hockey season before release this so that it's a bit more accurate.

Our main focus is on getting the game to play smoother...
We also want to focus on team styles a bit and make sure that teams play like they do in real life.

This will be a 360 update, we are looking into whether or not to do a Wii version.

Will release more info once ready to be shared...

How different is the save files for Wii then Ps3........

Could you use Wii file for Ps3 for 2K10.........

Save files no. The edit itself it's values? yes...i was able to use the same values for NBA2k10 360/PS3 for NBA 2k10 for wii.

Stupid question, but these updates will be in the form of shared rosters correct?
Will using your sliders with the rosters be necessary?

i really hope you guys get all the roster tranasactions since the very last roster update 2k did.

i did all of these moves from the link below. all of the players with the exception of like 3-5 guys are in the game. so i hope we see all of these moves at the least when you drop your update on 2k share..

I really like the game. They abandoned it in my opinion by not having one this year. I personally feel they just didn't have the resources or time with how many "other' games they have coming out as a company.

I agree with this, I believe resources plays a major issue when it comes to the support from VC. An updated roster and playing styles would go a long way towards keeping this game fresh up until NHL 2K12. Thanks for coming up with this great idea.

I can guess who would vote no and why. Typical hate from someone who has no interest in the game itself, just the need to troll the 2k forums with hit and run comments every chance he gets. It's very sad. Oh well, hopefully more people will continue to vote yes.

Maybe they just don't believe it will ever be a reality. I know I once had aspirations of doing the ultimate roster update and such. Then the cold reality of what a pain in the arse the roster management is set in and I gave up. It seems buggy to me, as some teams can have 9 Defensemen or 15 Forwards, yet others can't. Salary cap compliant and all. Not to mention the lack of player editing options(B-Days and Position), along with only being able to create 19 players.

Savoie, I understand what you are saying and it's a very valid point, it's time consuming and there is no guarantee it will work properly. But IMO it doesn't make sense for someone who is not interested to vote no when it could negatively impact this project for the people who want to continue playing this game.

It's amazing how much can happen with a few gameplay passes and a new take on sliders just.

Going to work out team playing styles within the next few weeks and then update the roster as follows.

Forgot how decent the game was esp after playing the other game and seeing how badly we all miss a broadcast view...

i would have edited the other game if they made their broadcast view customizable, but nope

we're going to work off the last update too.

We want to update the game monthly if possible,but we'll see.
