Hey Fiddy and Savoie,
I uploaded the roster today under Test11....

We definitely can use help on roster caps...

I downloaded AHL rosters and fixed most but please check the free agents- I'm sure I missed some. I also noticed there were a couple AHL/prospect minor trades the past couple days- I didn't update yet.


I've now somehow got the 27-player freeze on 4 teams- I should have not messed with goalies. I believe the stuck teams are now Washington, Nashville, NYI, and I forget the last one...

ok, im checking this out right now.

so all the fake name players are now named on each NHL team, correct?

ill check out the 27 player roster issue and make the minor moves from past few days etc.

ill post here when im done with the file..

Yeah all the fake names are fixed except for a few on the frozen 27 teams and in free agents. No Caps used. I did create a few players not in the AHL but real prospects.

nice work, just combed it over. awesome you did the ratings for most the younger players.

i forget how to fix the 27 roster issue at the moment. i know it had to do with making a players second position a forward or defense depending on what he was intentionally. it will come to me (hopefully) lol..

one thing we need to make sure of, is that we have at least 13 forwards, 7 defensemen, on AHL teams, so we can move guys back and forth easier. although the trade method works between the parent club and ahl club. so may not be a big deal IMO.

back to trying to figure these 4 teams out, bc once they get settled, we have a solid base.. awesome job yet again TS..

also, all the create a player spots have been used up. i thought you didnt use any?

not that its a big deal, bc i wont create anybody, but whoever downloads this wont be able to create a team with all create a players.

I didn't think I used any Caps...Doh. I think I used the wrong roster file...
Well, they are renamed here...I didn't fix the AHL player numbers but all players have correct L/R, height, weight, country.

I thought there was a way of editing positions to get out of the roster mgmt glitch but no avail

lol holy smokes.. i didnt check the teams i did. so you went through and renamed all the players on every team in the ahl then?

also, a guy like PK Subban, he was on the roster file already, correct? why did you make him as well?

so lets figure ok what ya did here lol. all teams ahl teams renamed and young players rerated. even the teams i had done and mentioned in this thread?

also, what file did you use as a base? i hope you used the latest 2k updated one from like 4/23..

i figured something was up bc all the retired players i edited to like 20 overall somehow had a ratings boost.

PK Subban is on it. this roster was from an old file, i do believe the last 2k roster file had some gameplay tweaks etc in it. i also checked the teams that i went through, still fake players on the rosters.. you may have thought they were correct bc you thought you were using my file.

its up to you, but i would take the file i uploaded and start again. that way we dont get that 27 player roster glitch. we could break it down into teams the rest of the way, that way you dont do all that work by yourself again.

thoughts?

I now wonder if I put up the right file? I'm pretty sure all the players were renamed except for the 4 teams that have the 27 glitch. The rosters I used already had Subban, Hall, Kadri, Glennie, etc. created.

Well, let me give it another stab in a few days if we can't fix the 27 glitch. Maybe we can rotate the remaining teams (I take the Western conf., you take the Eastern or whatever is fine)

So the file you were working on had no caps right? Go to create a player and check. Bc the file u posted had the 27 player glitch on all the teams you mentioned plus Tampa.

Maybe u should delete all ur roster files and redownload mine and go from there. That way no confusion lol.

I was using a 2k share file by mistake- dated oct . 10.
I started using your file- got through 8 teams- hope to finish in a few days.

Alright...new roster w/AHL up on 2Kshare...says TSOLFiddy...test 2.

Couple issues though not as bad as the last version.

Phoenix somehow got the 27 player glitch. I think I traded someone over and it screwed up- and I had autosave ON-figures Phoenix has roster/financial problems

I edited fake players to include some rookies of note (Stepan, Eckman-Larsen, Schroeder, Zuccarello)...I did their attributes based on small blurbs on THN from the last two yearbooks. They are a work in progress.

I moved a fake player into a few team rosters to move up a few injured players from the AHL.

I need your help, or perhaps Savoie, to make some trades, do some edits-

I really like what NYRBlue has been doing with the roster updates for 2K11 on 2Khockey.net....Maybe someone can read through his posts and make the roster/player changes...there are a few trades/cuts missing.

I can't wait to play this game again...

question, so all the fake players are now named?

i can load up and make some of the roster moves, trades etc from past month or so.. there isnt all that many so to speak.

what edits need done? player ratings on fake players renamed etc?

oh and ps.. turn off autosave lol.

edit - the Yotes dont have the 27 player glitch. the have the to many forwards glitch, by only 2.. this i do believe i can fix. bc i think these are the minor issues i had, i dont think i had more than 27 players on a team. ill post back if i fix it..

edit 2 - the Yotes have been fixed. you had 15 forwards, you can only have 14, any more than that gives ya the team can only have so many forwards message. i just changed Bracken Kearns secondary position to Defense, traded him to another team for a d-man and that solved the issue. the d-man was then sent back to the correct team and for the time being Kearns was release to the FA pool..
