Wild: Can they keep it up?

Last night the Wild beat the Avs in OT and now have a league best 16 points. Are the Wild a legit team? Can they keep it up? Will they be a top 4 playoff team? Your thoughts.

My personal view is that the Wild are good, but there is no way they can keep it up. I would love them to, but I don't see it happening. Maybe playoffs (which would still be great for them) but probably not much more.

Yes. The way the team is coached and built they will make the PlayOffs this year. Sad for Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver cause that'll be one less spot for them.

The Wild are a trap team and just look not only at there season record, but their pre-season record. Pretty damn impressive.

Of course they'll start to slide, but I think they'll grab atleast the 7th spot in the West. Good to see Minnesota back in Hockey.

Yep, I'm a Vancouver fan, so the last thing I wanna think about is dealing with Minnesota for a spot. Hopefully the tide will turn though, cause the Canucks have yet to play a full three periods of hockey so far this year.

Props to the Wild, but I can't believe it to be true yet.

Well Phoenix will probally drop out this year, but Dallas will be back so there are no new spots. The Canadian teams will have to beat up on Chicago to get atleast 2 of them in, I can't see all 3 making it, sorry Calgary.

The Wild started out real hot last year, then they all simultaneously forgot how to skate about midway through. I'm not saying it'll be that bad this year, but they'll definitely drop. Hopefully they'll grab the 7th or 8th spot in the playoffs, and hopefully attract some free agents to one of the big three hockey states in the US.

The Wild are not a trap team... at least not as bad as some of Lemaire's old teams. Bouchard, Park, Ronning, Gaborik and Walz are all wheel and deal type guys. They do try to focus on defense, but because they have to with the lack of depth they have. I have season tickets to the Wild and I have to say it's been a blast so far, Fernandez has been red hot, and Gaborik has proven to be one of the NHL's young guns. Hopefully thay can keep it up, but no one expects them to. Maybe we should???
