Gameplay seems like it's fundamentally the same as 2K2's (which was excellent), with some very cool additions...throw in franchise mode, online play, and get rid of the annoying bugs and this game can't possibly be bad

      Re: Our NHL 2K3 Interview

when i first played 2k2, i wasnt disappointed... i was frustrated, but i could easily see the game was realistic, and you had to play like 'real hockey' to win. no more EA back and forth BS. u had to cycle, dump and chase, play sound defense... eventually i started winning games, then more, i bumped up difficulty, and then i won some, lost some. etc. etc. then around 200 games in, i finally mastered the game. people who have never played NHL2K2 will play NHL2K3 and go through the same phases, although the only difference will be the fact that by playing nHL2K3 they will be more blown away than i was playing NHL2K2 the first time. nhl2k3 has five difficulty settings, so i think gamers new to the game will be able to get used to it and adapt to it more easily than i did to nhl2k2.... nhl2k3 will be the best hockey video game out... no game will even come close to being as good. treyarch rules!

I loved the game last year but I got to a point where the CPU just couldn't score on me so I hope with the sliders and different levels that this problem will be gone.

Yeah, I think everyone had that problem...

But supposedly this was one of the major issues they addressed, so hopefully it won't be a problem

Excellent interview! I don't have NHL2K3 pre-ordered yet, but all signs are pointing toward me getting this game. 30 customizable gameplay sliders! That's unreal!
