A few NHL 2K3 questions for those who have the game. Please answer.

1)Are actual NHL rookies in the game? How many on average per team? Example would be greatly appreciated.
2) Are there starting line-up/goalie intro's? Is it any good?
3) What types of players(real-life NHLers(rookies,journeymen)) are on the farm teams? How many per team?
4) Are there any major bugs/glitches in this game?
5) In your opinion, Which is better NHL 2K3 or NHL 2003?
6) I this game a rent or buy? Why/why not?

1. Yes the rookies that are playing in the NHL are on the rosters.

2. The intro isn;t anything great. It doesn;t say the starters of the away team but does of the home team, EA's intro is better.

3. I haven;t really looked at the farm teams but it looks like fake players

4. Bugs i have seen are: On some Goal cam replays it shows the wrong goal cam.

It looks like it has no crease rule as i had a goal count when i was behind the goalie and the puck was at the point and i deflected it in from in the crease

If the opposing team is Offside and you don't take it out of your zone in about 5-10 seconds it will blow the whistle and say the puck is frozen.

5. Its a matter of taste. If you want real hockey gameplay pick up NHL 2k3 if not then pick up NHL 2003

6. Once again if you want to play real hockey this is a buy cuase playing the game is great, you gotta the sega challenge, plus the franchise mode is way better than EA's, but i always suggest renting games before you buy.

ummm there is no crease rule in the nhl any more! as long as the guy in the crease is not effecting the goalies chances to save the puck and the shot goes in it counts but if the player bumps the goalie making him unable to make a save attempt the player will get an interference call. so you can be in the crease when a goal is scored

I guess the it depends on which team you like as far as rookies. Being a Red Wings fan, i was a little disappointed when Zetterberg wasnt in the game and the fact that you cant create him for a franchise kinda sucks, but its still the best game available.

There is a crease rule. You can;t be in the crease interfering with the goalie. My guy was in the crease right beghind the goalie. That is interfering with him. Its a good game but still needs to be tested further and changed to make it great

if a player is behind the goalie and is not touching him or interfering w/his save attempt and a shot goals in for a goal the goal will count!! look it up. they got rid of the crease rule b/c every freaking goal was getting reviewed b/c of a stupid skate in the crease and more than 75% of the time had nothing really to do w/ the play.

if you are behind the goalie in the crease you are interfering with him. He can;t back up, or cover is net properly, and they didn;t get rid of the crease rule, they just chaged the wording so it wasn't just a fingernail in the crease would take away a goal

I think the rule still exists but it was clearified so that all the BS calls where a guy might have a skate in the crease, would stop teams from losing goals. In fact a week ago when the Hawks were playing Florida they lost an OT goal due to some call, which I don't think they called goal tender interference, but they disallowed the goal, it was wierd I don't know if they called it right, but I think some form of the crease rule exists.

can you tackle the goalie without getting called for a penalty?
Or do you always end up in the penalty box?
