Lots of injuries in My Franchise NHL2k3
Is it just me or are there a lot of injuries in this game, with the Hawks I have had at least 8 guys go down in the first dozen or so games. 2 for 2-4 months and a couple of others for 2-4 weeks and then the day to day variety, I tried moving the slider down but that didn't seem to help.Tags: None -
Re: Lots of injuries in My Franchise NHL2k3
I started out my season as the Flyers with a slew of "day-to-day" injuries. Through my first 10 games or so I don't think I ever had my entire starting lineup healthy. Then I had a defenseman break his leg... out for 2-4 months. It seemed to stop my injury bug however, since now i've gone about 5 straight games withough an injury. (knocks on wood) I haven't touched my injury slider yet... I want to see how long I can keep my streak going.
As for longer injuries, while browsing the news section I did notice there is only one other team so far with someone out for 2-4 weeks.LET'S GO FLYERS, YANKEES, DOLPHINS!!! -

Question: Is there a slider for injuries...
If there is, just turn it down a notch.Comment

I've had a few injuries too, but mostly day to day. However, I just lost Kristian Huselius for 4 months, but it was my fault. He was already day to day but I kept playing him. Well, 3 games in a row he got hit and then I saw that message pop up saying that he was hurt. I didn't care and forced him out there. Then, he got leveled by Scott Stevens and 'broke his knee'. Now he's gone for a while. You really have to watch it.Comment

Re: Lots of injuries in My Franchise NHL2k3
Straka, Laukkennen, Slegr, Mckenna are all out 2-4 months, well strake and slegr are now 2-4 weeks but started out 2-4 months.
I turned the injury notch down after and one lengthy injury which was laukennen.
But its not that im getting a lot of injuries its that the computer isn;t getting any injuries. The only one is with V.Bure who got injured in a game i was playing against the panthers for 2-4 monthsComment

Captaink, it unfortunately does whack the lines all up after injury, but there is an option that says would you like the CPU to fix any lines that are incomplete, so you can use that or do it manually!Comment

Re: Lots of injuries in My Franchise NHL2k3
Yah I was wondering if fatigue or style of play has something to do with it, but it's been more my third line type of guys and I don't get injured when I deliver a hit but at other odd times. I turned the slider down a couple of more notches, while I don't mind injuries I like to play with most of the team in tact.Comment

Disclaimer: I haven't played the game yet (XBox)...
How much checking are you doing? I'm willing to bet if you're playing a similar style to the EA games, you're hitting a lot more than actually goes on (in terms of big hits) in real life. Maybe that's contributing to the injuries?“In my lifetime, we've gone from Eisenhower to George W. Bush. We've gone from John F. Kennedy to Al Gore. If this is evolution, I believe that in twelve years, we'll be voting for plants.” - Lewis BlackComment

What happens during a play when they get hurt? It's not like in HH where someone will go down at random, is it?“In my lifetime, we've gone from Eisenhower to George W. Bush. We've gone from John F. Kennedy to Al Gore. If this is evolution, I believe that in twelve years, we'll be voting for plants.” - Lewis BlackComment
