    Level of scoring in 2k3

Ok, I have played like 20 games of this today and I still can't score... then again, neither can the CPU. Has anyone found some combination of sliders that increase scoring for both sides? It would be nice if you could just lower the skill levels of both goalies, since I say that is where the problem is..... but the best I can tell is that the goalie slider is the either/or thing mentioned in another thread......

If I pass the puck around one more time only to have it go into the goalie's glove, I'm jumping......

Why can't the goalies give up a shot once in awhile???? You know, come down the side or whatnot and just rip one top shelf.... never seems to happen to me........

You're approaching it like it's NHL 2003 by EA. In this game you have to make a move and get the goalie to commit to one thing while you do another. I've started netting a lot of goals by getting the goalie to commit right and I go left or getting the goalie to commit left while I go right. Also try to get the goalie down so you can go top shelf. Once I started getting the hang of it I was able to hop online and win 5-0, 4-1, and 3-2.

Another hint, one timers rarely work.

BDT is right on human scoring.

For the CPU, there's really no way known right now to increase it. Some guys the CPU is all over for them for others the CPU scored 1 in they are lucky.

I'm sure it's all about the sliders but unfortuantely we don't have a clue as to what they do yet.

      In time though.

But I have been trying to do all that stuff. I"m not just doing one timers all the time...... tho once in awhile, a one timer *should* work too. I know I'm probably not as good as you guys (I've proven that, haven't I? )

I've been following a thread on thunderpuck with the developers in it to try to see how the sliders *really* work, as the assumption of the skill sliders being a balance thing may be wrong after all..... There is supposed to be a document put up sometime today from the developers that explain all the sliders and how they work, so there might be hope yet.

Until then, I'll keep cycling the puck around......

Is there a way to fake your shot? That might help make the goalies commit more.......

Yes. You can fake a shot the same way as in EA's game now (tap Pass before you let the shot go).

I score on a ton of one timers, i'll get numbers later. But all my on timers i have a guy on one side of the crease and try to pass it through and when it does leaves a wide open net.
