Difference Between Pro and All-Star - Game Too Easy?

Picked up XBox NHL2K3 last week and have played almost 10 games in my first Season with the Avs. I have won all the games so far. They have all been fun. Still learning the controller, but almost there.

Any way, here are my present settings: Pro setting (default sliders), 10-minute periods, Intermediate controller settings, manual shooting, full referee collision, auto grab, manual puck protection.

I realize that the Avs are rated 2nd in the league, so I should be winning if my play is reasonable. Thinking of switching to All-Star, as I realize that there is still a higher difficulty setting (Hall of Famer). I'm not much for playing with sliders; I prefer to play with the default settings, at least initially.

What has been the experience of others? Given the four difficulty settings, is Pro a little easier than Pro setting in other games (not withstanding much better gameplay and computer AI)? I am surprised that I am doing so well. I have gotten some wins like 6-0, 5-1, 5-3, and played some respectable teams.

By the way, I am finishing a season in basketball and feel next time I have to increase the difficulty setting to All-Star as well.

In All-Star, are the goalies allowed to hold the puck for so long? Perhaps this is not that bad, as it gives one time to read the play before throwing it out. There would probably be a lot more stoppage of play if the whistle was blown quickly.

Re: Difference Between Pro and All-Star - Game Too Easy?

Personally I find Pro too easy. I'm playing on All-Star with some sliders that I picked up over at the Thunderpuck forums. I find that I get realistic stats (shot totals, hits, PIM, etc) and scores. I'm only winning about 1/3 of my games right now, but I'm still learning to play. I'm using the advanced controls as well. If you don't know where thunderpuck is, then reply here and I'll post my sliders here...
