    Matching strategies

After playing this game non-stop lately (my grades will attest to that), I have noticed that the system you run makes a huge difference (which is refreshing).

If the computer is running a Zone defense, try running the overload offense-this will move your forwards into the slot area and you will be able to out man the D down low. If the CPU runs a 1-2-2, go with the positional defence and work it around the outside and try to get your point man cutting through the slot.
If the CPU runs the Box and 1, go with the triangle and cycle, cycle, cycle until you are able to draw the slot D out of position for a scoring opportunity.

I'm still working on my neutral zone and forecheck strategies, but I have found if the CPU runs the board breakout, a 1-2-2 neutral zone and forecheck works well to clog up the passing lanes, dont get over-agressive and force that winger to keep the puck on the boards and not allow the cross-ice pass to the center or wide wing.

    hope this helps
