im new to hockey games and nhl 2003 is my first hockey game. does anybody know where i can get a roster update. i have a sharkport.

No offense, but if you don't know much about hockey, NHL2003 is NOT the place to learn about the game. I am a fan of the NHL and I also love NHL 2003. The only, really noticable, thing I see is the high scores. But I love goals too. Hockey in NHL 2003 is not as bad as many people say it is. I have a brother who could tell you the starting lineup for every team and HE loves the game as well.

If you are truly a hickey fan do yourself a favor and pick up NHL2k3 from Sega. The game is less arcade and more simulation.

other than scoring a lot, I don't see what is so arcade about the game. It's a blast for me and very addictive. Maybe one day i will rent NHL2K3 because evryone says it is fabulous.
The only downer about NHL 2003 is the off season stuff in Franchise mode. so much more could have been done with that.Comment

In NHL 2003 you mostly just pass up and go to the goal and score, in real hockey they pass it back, look for an open shot, clear it and that kind of stuff. Also take a look at the hits, if that happened in real life with that sound someone would get paralyzed. I just hope I'm not a fool going around saying how good NHL 2k3 is and then play it and hate it.
