I'm talking about skating at the points. In every video hockey game I've played, if you try to skate laterally at the blueline, or even turn a certain way, your guy moves the puck out of the zone, and causes an offsides. What I wouldn't give to have this fixed....

I TOTALLY agree with you, especially since I like to work the puck back to my defensemen. I can't tell you how many times i've tried to just change direction, but instead they spin around bringing the puck across the blue line. This is just one of the many contributing factors to me having the worst power play in the league!

I also have the worst powerplay in the league! Okay...this may sound like a rant, but after many frustrating powerplays, and some frustrations in general I'm beginning to think that all these things below are fact. If anyone disagrees, please tell me what I'm doing wrong!!
<ul type="square">[*]Your team collectively becomes dumber on the powerplay. They'll completely ignore a puck that is sitting right near them, especially if it's a rebound [image]http://[/image][*]The blue line thing discussed above[*]It is WAAAAAAY to easy to clear the puck. This goes for both you and the CPU. How many times in real hockey do you see a player check a guy off the puck and simultaneously backhand it all the way down to the other end? This is one thing that this game does lousy[*]Like point #1, it seems like the CPU collectively gets better on the penalty kill[*]Why do I have passes blocked from behind me while the CPU regularly can complete cross-ice passes through three of my players? (See "dumber" point above)[*]As I've said before, it is way to easy to block shots. Additionally, CPU players can block shots and immediately get off a perfect pass to a teammate. First of all, in the NHL, most times a player has to go down to block a shot. Second, if I took a slapshot in the foot or shins like in this game, I'd be hurt. With the number of shots off the skates/ankles/legs, there are surprisingly few injuries as a result[/list]

It's still the best power play in a hockey game to date.
I am getting better at keeping my guys inside the blue line, I just try to be patient and stay under control.Comment

The only real problem I have is when I try to pass it to one of my defenders near the blue line for a one-timer and they're on the other side and it causes an offside. When I'm not trying one-timers and go offsides it's usually my fault because I had plenty of time to keep from doing it.
It should be harder to score on power plays because everybody on the other team is staying back and playing defense most of the time. The better teams are more aggressive and try and get you in between the blue lines. Your best bet is to try one timers while you're in power play situations because of the better defense. Before the game set your PP offense to be more aggressive. That may help you to score more.

What I meant is with the Advanced control, protect the puck at the blue line so that it doesn't happen anymore.
