Franchise Mode
I've been watching hockey since 96 and while I'm not into it as much I am into basketball and football I still enjoy the game. I'm thinking about getting either NHL2k3 or NHL 2003. Gameplay is important, but the franchise mode is also important. I enjoy building team through the draft and free agency it makes the game almost lifelike for me. So can anyone tell me which game has the better franchise mode? I'm looking for stuff like which game has the full 9 round draft, which game can you send prospects and players up and down from the minor leagues, etc. By the way my favorite teams are the Colorado Avalance and Dallas Stars.

Re: Franchise Mode
NHL 2K3 wins hands down. Not only does it have minor leagues, it has a long draft, signing periods, and tons of depth to the franchise mode. Not to mention 2K3 is a MUCH better game.
NHL 2003, sucks. The draft is 3 rounds or so, the signing players is stupidly represented by smilie faces, not by any form of points or money, the franchise is bare bones, and useless. No minors, small rosters. -

we should also mention no created players in franchise for 2k3 (i think) and you cant see scores of other games other than the little ticker in the bottom of your own games.Comment
