Well I will say onething usually the players that have a high + rating are the better players in the league. Maybe once inwhile you might have some guy with a lot of points, but also have a lot of - too. Daniel B from Philly comes to mind. I think he had a lot of points and he had a lot - too.Comment

+/- is also only applicable to regular strength play. Pluses and minuses aren't given out to teams on the power play or penalty killComment

if a team scores shorthanded though then they get a + and the other team gets a -.
It is a pretty useless stat, youll usually just find that the players on good teams tend to be + and players on bad teams tend to be -. It doesnt tell you much of importance.Comment
