There's a water trail behind the puck along most of the ice, I'm kinda surprised they're playing

i love the Hate these two teams have for each other. Only having snow during the game woulda made it a better hit for the NHL and NBCComment

I wonder how much the changing of sides hurt Pittsburgh. They were on the attack and had the ice on the attack. Then they swithed sides and played on the "bad" side for the last 10 minutes.

Re: 2011 Winter Classic
I think the Rangers and Canadiens would be pretty good.
Of course there's the option for Rangers/Islanders as well, but it looks like the Isles have a ways to go before they're competitive again.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: 2011 Winter Classic
NBC chooses the teams, so there's no chance a Canadian team will ever be involved. The Sharks and Lightning are doubtful as well. According to CBC, Philadelphia is the front-runner to host in 2012, with Colorado also a strong possibility. I wouldn't expect the opponent to be anyone outside NBC's rotation of Detroit, Chicago, Boston, Pittsburgh, Washington, and the Rangers. Minnesota will probably host one in the future if the Wild ever become watchable.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. Re: 2011 Winter Classic
I would like to see them make this a double or even triple header. I guess you run the risk of having the novelty wear off???? But with the NCAA moving so many of their prestigious bowls to after Jan 1, there seems to be alot of opportunity for sports viewers.Comment

Re: 2011 Winter Classic
I know a possible WC double header has already been discussed by the NHL, so hopefully if they go that route they do one Canadian matchup and one American matchup. One game could be played early afternoon, the other at night like this one was.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.
