Re: The Official 2010-11 Regular Season Talk Thread
As a Wild fan, I can't even be mad about that. It didn't look that dirty, I mean Stoner stops in front of him, what's the guy supposed to do? 9 times out of 10, he goes into the boards standing up shoulder first and it's just "finishing a check".
Note: I'm at work, so don't have the sound turned on - don't know what the studio guys are saying about it.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 01-20-2011, 03:23 PM.Comment

Yes, Stoner did slow down, but at the same time, Glencross came in full bore and gave a crosscheck from behind into the boards. That's terribly dangerous.Comment

Scott - would you please tell the Sharks to trade Alex Stalock to someone who will give him a look in net?Comment

I wish I could. But Doug hasn't return my phone calls. Now if it was Sabian he would have call by now, But Doug thinks my advice if off with the Sharks. When I told Sab to bring up Posey and they would win a championship he believed me.

Great game by the Sharks tonight. Refs how do you miss a high stick off the face-off that made a man bleed? Open those eyes guys. The Sharks got physical on the Canucks and Lou stood on his head tonight. Great game and get win.Comment

Re: The Official 2010-11 Regular Season Talk Thread
Glencross only got a fine. Un-freakin-believable.
I think it's fairly obvious the league couldn't care less about the players health.
What drives me absolutely insane is that Campbell bases all of his rulings on the outcome of the hit. If Stoner had a broken neck, Glencross would have gotten 10 games.
But since he didn't miss a shift, it's merely a fine.
It's assinine to rule in this manor.
If you walk outside and start shooting an uzi randomly into a crowd of people, you're not going to get a fine if nobody was hurt. You'll be charged with attempted murder.
If Gary Bettman and Campbell can't realize how wrong it is to judge based on damage, then they need to be booted and quickly.
And the owners are obviously okay with this too.
I hope Fehr can clean this up because the NHL has proven to be derelict when it comes to players safety.Comment
