Joe Thornton played with a seperated shoulder tonight. He has played well the last 2 seasons in the playoffs. Based on his stats, he deserves to be in the HOF by the time he retires, but I still don't think he gets in unless he wins the Cup.

Congrats to the Sharks for a good series. They are a fun team to watch with great fans.

It's amazing how powerful sports can be. I can tell you right now, if the Canucks win the Cup, I will probably have tears in my eyes. Certain fan bases are spoiled by success (Wings, Penguins, Pats, Lakers, Yankees, etc...) but the Canucks aren't one of them. For the old-timers out there, this might be the last time they get to see their favorite team play for the Stanley Cup.

This is special.

If you claim more than one team then it's not so bad.
I've got the Red Wings (west),Devils (east) and any Canadian team that isn't the Leafs (cause I'm Canadian) so there's much better odds of success.

Congrats to Vancouver and it's fans. What a tough team. Don't feel bad for Sharks fans, this year had a different feeling for me. I loved how some of the guys I never expected to step up, brought their game up to a different level(Murray, Demers, Set). They took it to the distance with very good teams in LA and Detroit. In the end they didn't have enough gas to hang with the best team in the NHL.

The last series of events before the last goal was proof of this. VAN was looking to end the game, while SJ was just hoping the play would end. They just didn't have the gas. At least for me, this year was not the typical "choke" year that many SJ haters wold like to make it out to be.

Things are looking up, we a nice core of young players and a couple of really good guys at net. I can't wait till next year.

What do you mean before it was they couldn't get past the second round. Now it is they can't get pass the finals. They are getting better. Keep in mind to they had to play the Wings the best two years and that takes a lot of a team.

Logan is going to be even better next year and I am pumped for next year. I think if Sharks could have played more like last night we would have had a better chance. Still I am proud of this team and what the future holds for the Sharks.

Wow that was such a crazy finish! Happy for the Canucks fans! I don't want to count out the Bruins or Lightning, but I feel like Vancouver is destined to win this whole damn thing.

Luongo came up with some huge saves. Can we please shut up about him? Every goalie makes you scratch your head at times, but he's the best otherwise.

Burrows snatched that puck up with the quickness.

Agree with you, while the Sharks only won one game this was a very tough series, Vancouver was just the better team, not knocking the Sharks at all but things played out as seeds would have indicated, can't really call that a choke.

Yeah he catches a ton of flack but most of it stems from people who seem to be frustrated by his contract, just watching him play I always think he is among the best in the NHL (except against Chicago in the playoffs when he does seem shaky at times), but the fact he makes 7 mil a year just puts a target on his back for criticism any time he struggles. Seems like at that price people expect he should be perfect all the time.

It appears White sees it but yah Niemi is entirely clueless. In that case White should've got down there.
On the other hand he appears to not know Niemi didn't know and could've been thinking hey he'll save that easy shot.
