yea i know but they have good offense. I get scored on in NHL 2k4 but my offense makes up for my poor goalie. But in real life hockey goalies really matter so it will be hard for the team. We are just gonna have to wait and see what happens.

They have the most potent offense in the NHL. Probably the best offense in the last 10 yrs. (on paper at least) They have solid young goalies however if they aren't performing well from that end Lacroix will go out and get a good solid goaltender. The man always finds a way to get what he needs by the trade deadline.

I'm a fan of the Avs also. This game is unforgiving on a poor goalie, and until I learn to score more effectively, all the potential offence in two great scoring lines won't make a difference

Real hockey is even more unforgiving with a poor goalie. If this game is a simulation of the real thing, my poor Avs are not going to do well unless they acquire better goaltending during the first half of the season.

Better goaltending/defence cancels better offence in the NHL - who's the champs (hint: NJ Devils)

You guys gotta remember, David hasn't had every day experience like Roy did. The year before last he had a decent gaa and I think he could surprise some people this year. I think Lecroix has confidence in him to do the job. Obviously we will be looking elsewhere if he doesn't fit our system. In the years past he has found a way to get what we needed for the playoffs.

I have played a few games with them, but the goalies were killing me. I scored a few goals, but I was giving up some total crap. Some of the goals were soooo soft it was ridiculous.
