I have no issue with the loser getting a point in an OT game. Hockey is a unique sport in the way the standings work, and I like it. I would, however like to see the 3-2-1 point system adopted. It would cause teams to actually play for a win in regulation, and if not they will lose out on the full points they could have got for the win.

Chicago clinches a playoff berth with a 5-4 win against Nashville. Of course the Hawks blew a 4-0 lead with silly turnovers and penalties but a win is a win. I was surprised they put up 5 on Rinne. That doesn't happen too often. Radulov had a sweet goal where he weaved in between 2 defenders and deked Crawford. One of the defenseman was O'Donnell but it was still a great move. I'm still very surprised as how well they have played without Toews."You got it man. I don't watch hockey." SidVish"I thought LeBron James was just going to be another addition to help me score."

Playoff chances officially in the grave this year. Thanks Stamkos.
A shame too because I can't imagine how insane the MTS Centre would've been for that first home playoff game. Here's hoping we can get in next year.
Oh, and Victor Hedman is a bitch. Good to see Ladd drop the gloves and give him some solid shots.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: The Official 2011-12 Regular Season Talk Thread
Random aside: Notice the tiebreaker is actually regulation and OT wins. The thing that always bugs me about the 3-2-1 points proposal (other than the cardinal sin of keeping the loser point) is regulation wins being worth 3 points and OT wins only 2. Who doesn't like OT?
I remember when the game itself was exciting enough without having to manufacture it with a one-on-one exhibition.Comment
