Summary of first period:

Backstrom is injured, so Harding gets the start. Sharks score 1 minute in. Shortly after, Harding takes an accidental elbow to the head from former Wild player Shultz and has to leave the game. In comes rookie 3rd goalie Matt Hackett. Sharks dominate play outshooting the Wild 21-5 in the first 14 minutes. Wild kill a double minor. Koivu scores a scrappy goal to tie it. PMB scores on the first Wild power play in the final minute. 2-1 into the locker room. Shots 23-10.

Well the point streak had to end at some point, Pavelac was stellar tonight, Bruins had tons of chances, he stood on his head. Was still a very entertaining game to watch, because they skated and the effort was there. Can't score 3+ goals every night I suppose and had Pavelac not been on fire that game very easily gotten out of hand.

I'd say 34 saves in his first NHL action is something he'll always remember. Not having to think about starting for the first time probably helped him.

And yes, he is related to Jeff Hackett. That's his uncle.

I'd like to see him a few more times to see if last night was an aberration or not.

It'd be nice if he made Harding tradeable, even though I love Harding.

I would love Harding on the Blues, just so we would get rid of Halak. Elliot and Harding would be a great combo in net.
