    Yay! We won a game!

Brodziak just got thrown out of the game for a shoulder to shoulder hit. Awesome.

To fans of teams Dany Heatley used to be on: Has he always been this ****ing lazy?

Matt Hackett wins his first career start.

Apropos of nothing, I won a game-worn autographed Heatley Sens jersey in 2008. Doesn't come out of the closet much.

That was ridiculous. I could see a 2 min. minor, maybe. But a 5 min. major and an EJECTION??? Please...

I am amazed by this team's ability to step up. Top 2 goalies out? No problem, our 3rd string goalie will just play out of his mind. Brodz thrown out on a BS call? No big deal, we just won't allow a single SOG during their 5 min. PP

Very fun to watch this team. Don't want this ride to end!

I don't know what you're looking at a it's clearly different in my eyes.
In one video we see David Booth getting nailed, and in the other Cal Clutterbuck.

It's clear that Shanny bases a lot of his decisions on public opinion of said players.

In the Leino suspension, if that was Steve Ott it would have been 5 games. Since it's Leino, Shanny doesn't believe it was intentional (seriously?) so he gets a mere 1-game sitdown.

Like ImTellinTim stated, Shanny has turned out to be no better than Campbell.

The results they have been getting with their roster is astounding. How many AHL guys have started fro them this year?

They are very well-coached and forecheck like you just kicked their dog. The scoring is spread out. They also don't get down on themselves when they are down by a goal or two. Mix in solid goaltending, and you have a team capable of making a nice run. Not sure they have the firepower to go all the way now, but the foundation is there. They still haven't replaced Gaborik as a go-to type player that can take over a game.

And to answer your question, I believe that Matt Hackett is the 9th rookie to get ice time this year. Thing is that they're getting production out of a lot of them.

The future is so bright. Can't wait for Granlund to get here, I'd love to see a Heatley-Koivu-Granlund line. He's a great passer (his stat-line: 14-22-36 in 28 games playing in the SM-Liiga), and I think he would gel nicely with Koivu.

Not to mention Coyle, Zucker, Brodin.

Great time to be a Wild fan.

And maybe Parise returning home as a Free Agent????

                          Baby steps, man.

But Parise could most certainly be the type of player that pushes the Wild to perennial contender status.

I'm more worried about avoiding a mid-year swoon at some point right now.

                            Parise is a pipe dream.

There is definitely going to be a downturn with this team, can't keep this pace up forever. But I think they are setting themselves up nicely so that a 1-2 week bad stretch will not be that detrimental to the team.

I've gone from thinking "Well this is a nice little run" to "this team is legit."

The Wild are actually fun to watch. Amazing what allowing more offense will do for a team. They're actually winning 1-goal games instead of losing them now.
                              Washington should take note.
