The Frozen Four was at Ford Field a few years ago. It was TERRIBLE.

I would be surprised if Ford Field ever hosts another hockey event after that joke of a tournament. Ice conditions were terrible, and it's just not a hockey environment.

Idea: Just give it to the Stanley Cup winner.

Is there any market that doesn't have a sufficient "big" stadium near them?

If that means you have to play it in California or Florida on occasion, so be it. I don't know what the hell they'd do with the ice, but they're smart. They could figure something out.

Amazing how south it's gone so quickly.

This team is a joke whenever they have the puck. Especially on power plays. Just terrible. Unreal that this is the same team I was watching a month ago.

Yes and no. Briere is obviously struggling this season and a goal there could be the uncorking of the plug he needed. Briere historically is a good shoot out guy, but it was a tough call to put him in there in light of his struggles.

He scores there and you're singin' a different tune my friend.

To me that's just not the time for that. Go to Giroux and give yourself the best chance to tie it.

More Burkie nonsense. If what he says is true, then why do so many clean hits result in fights these days?

Detroit hasn't hosted one yet. They were in the one with Chicago in 2009. Methinks that it will be in Comerica Park before Ford Field. Plus we're easy to schedule due to our consistency the past years; we're always a cup contender.

I see the Flames are softening up the Bruins for their game against the Canucks on Saturday. Way to go!

Tough loss for the Hawks. They come back from down 4-2 in the 3rd to tie it at 4 on Kane's goal. Then Kane commits a penalty and Philadelphia scores the game winner on the power play with 32 seconds left in the game.

I give credit to Philly. They deserved the game as the Hawks defense was MIA for almost the entire game.

I guess a positive is that the rookies looked pretty good for Chicago.
