Heh I was going for that reference there so awesome you caught that, but yeah really back and forth game so far Klesla scored one for Phoenix when a blocked shot deflected back right toward Klesla, Nashville came back and tied it by getting bodies in front of the net, and capitalizing on the rebound.

A lot of people thought these two teams would play a boring Defensive style, but thus far I'm finding it the opposite both teams are pushing the Offensive zone and there have been quite a few exciting scoring chances.

Boedker the hero from the Chicago series score, really nice goal faked the pass for a second, held it and got it through.

That 2-on-1 goal by Phoenix was gorgeous.

Yeah Boedker played that perfectly, froze the Defender by looking for the pass, held it, and shot at the exact right moment. Rinne really couldn't do anything, that was the perfect location.

Wait, there's a guy named Derek Morris?

Does he have a son named Zack who he has issues communicating with?

Wow...need a replay of that, but how did Nashville not end it there?

Answer: Hell of a save by Smith.

The Coyotes somehow win games despite being outplayed. Give credit to the goaltender, and also to the skaters for taking advantage of their opportunities.

Great goal by Whitney. Caught Martin Erat asleep out there on the wing.

Thought the Predators could have ended it sooner, but Mike Smith simply would not allow one to get by.

Rinne looked really shaky the entire game.

Went to bed at the end of regulation because I was just so tired, but I disagree that Phoenix got outplayed... for 2 and a half periods I thought they looked like the stronger team, more physical on their checks, more crisp on their passes, and really good Defensive zone play and shot blocking. Nashville happened to get 2 really fortunate goals off of miscues by Mike Smith. Going way out to play a puck he never should have, and Kostisyn* getting fortunate off a rebound in front of the net.

I guess towards the end they were trying to nurse the 1 goal lead, and ended up getting sloppy and taking unneeded penalties, looked like Nashville gained momentum going into overtime but Mike Smith started to redeem himself by making excellent saves.

Really great start to round 2 of the playoffs, and to think people thought the Western Conference games would be boring. I think Nashville comes out strong and rebounds to take Game 2, but should be a heck of a series, I'm expecting 7, or at least 6 games in this one.

So Rangers and Capitals at 330pm. Think this series will deliver. I believe it's Flyers/Rangers for the East but it would not surprise me to see the Capitals pull it off. Definitely going a long 6 games, if not a full 7.

Ottawa head coach Paul MacLean, asked why his Senators lost: "I believe you have to score your way to the Stanley Cup, not defend your way. We didn't score enough goals.''

                                Hallelujah. Somebody clone this man.
