Well being a Devils fan I hope they pull it out. I am going to say in Devils in 6 but I think it will be a tough series. The Kings are rolling.

Anyone see a bit of 02-03 in this matchup? The ANA/NJ series. Ducks (who were Mighty at the time) rolled to the Cup Finals with a hot goalie in Giguere.
I see NJ in 6. They finally have me believing. I picked against in last 3 rounds. No more!NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

I don't really care who wins this series but I think I'll be pulling for NJ, Brodeur is the last great NHL goalie from my youth. Crazy looking back and seeing that he won a Stanley Cup back when I was in grade school, then junior high, then highschool, he has had a long career that is for sure. Might as well win one more and go out on top.Favorite Teams:

NFL- Cleveland Browns
MLB- St. Louis Cardinals
NBA- Boston Celtics
NHL- Chicago Blackhawks

Re: 2012 Stanley Cup Final: New Jersey Devils vs. Los Angeles Kings
The '03 Devils had probably the worst set of forwards I've ever seen on a Cup-winning team but were ridiculously strong on D (Niedermayer, Stevens, Rafalski, White). The strength of the current Devils are their forward corps, whereas New Jersey's D are about as no-name as you get.
Also, I expect this series to be approximately 1000x more entertaining than Ducks/Devils, which was dull beyond belief.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. I've decided to pull for New Jersey.
If Parise wins a Cup, he might be more likely to want to come home to Minnesota and build something with the Wild!University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey

Series starts tomorrow. I think it's a great matchup. I still believe the Devils are outmatched but they play such a good team game that feasts on the oppositions mistakes. The way they dismantled PHI still has me wondering what the hell happened.
Meanwhile, LA is supremely talented and only now has finally hit their stride. It worries me though, that it took this long. That's why I believe that NJ wins this one. They're going to be patient and disciplined and outlast the Kings.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Devils in 7.
I think either Eastern Conference team would have been a fun matchup to watch against the Kings, who sometime in the second round looked like they were on a beeline for the Finals.
This is going to be a great series for the hockey fan. The ratings might not be that great, so there will be the naysayers popping up. But we don't have any worries about coverage for the foreseeable future.
It's fun to want nice things, but we can just go ahead and put that notion to bed.Comment

Also Parise may have been raised in Minnesota, but he's signing with Toronto. I mean come on, he was a leafs fan

While I'm pulling for the Kings, I'm predicting the Devils win in 6. Gov. Fatso will throw a parade in downtown Newark...20 people will attend."I'm the dude, playing the dude, disguised as another dude!"Comment
