Excellent first night of the playoffs.

Hopefully more of the same tomorrow, that way I can enjoy myself before curling up in the fetal position watching Montreal on Thursday.

There's really no contingency plan to throw games to another network when earlier games go to overtime???? Seriously, is it 1985? NBC sucks so bad in so many ways....

Edit: never mind...Wings now on NHL network...rant retracted.

In the NBA it is... at least for games on TNT. Missed the entire first half of Clippers/Grizzlies this past weekend because of the triple OT game. They refused to show it on TBS (unlike when playoff baseball is on TBS and will runover onto TNT) or NBA TV.

Should never run into a problem with hockey using CNBC, NHL Network, and NBC Sports. I don't think remember there being an issue last year at least and that was the first time they did this.

One thing Bruins got going for them is that the Maple Leafs are 1-8-1 in last 2 seasons vs the Bruins. However down the stretch Bruins were 3-7. I can already hear all the Phil Kessel taunting. Should be a good one!

I wouldn't be comparing the Leafs of last year to the Leafs of this year, especially since that 1-0-1 of the 1-8-1 came in the last two games.

Was Rask in net? Doesn't matter but I do know the Garden will be rocking can Leafs deal with some pressure for first time in a long time? Who knows they are playing a team that missed being the number 2 seed had they won that last game. It will be a tough road for the Leafs and hey "Thank you Kessel" chants will do there best to get in his head like always. Despite all ive said on paper they do play a similar style of hockey that the Bruins play.

Kessel has like what, 3 goals in his 21 career games against his former team? I don't have much faith in the team when your best goal scorer doesn't show up.

I think the Kings will bounce back though. Thursday night should be fun.
