Verdict: Not bad, but unclutch.
Recommendation: Offer Bruins Crosby + 2013 1st round pick for David Kreijci in offseason.

Honest, legitimate question: in an alternate reality where Crosby is actually tradeable and they make that offer.........does Boston say yes?

Obviously there's no question who the better player is, but it's more than just talent and who puts up more points. Does Crosby's style of play mesh with what Boston does as a team? Krejci centers one of the most fearsome (IMO) lines in hockey, and it becomes a very different line if it's Crosby centering Lucic and Horton suddenly. Do they take the C from Chara and give it to Crosby? If so, how does that affect the team? If not, does Crosby accept that? Does he function in the same locker room as Bergeron and Marchand without trying to kill both of them as payback for the four-game colonoscopy they just gave him?

Either way, we've already given this too much thought. No scenario exists that involves Crosby being traded. The most drastic change the Penguins would make would be firing Bylsma and hiring a more defense-minded coach.

Thank you. This is the greatest showing of class and sportsmanship I have ever seen on here. Congratulations to the Penguins for a great season. Best team in the East all year, but the offense fell apart when they needed it the most.

Those people have gone into hiding until next season. Still can't believe the Bruins are going to the finals after the up and down season they had. A sweep while holding the Pens to only 2 goals was certainly not even close to what I expected from this series.

And Malkin made sure everybody knew it, too. Nobody sulks like him when times get tough. You could almost see the rain cloud forming over his head as the series progressed, his body language was that terrible.

Which is why he is my least liked player in the league. Dude is a prick. PIT would be wise to trade or even just let him walk.

been saying this for 2 years, about a trade this off season with him (as well as Fleury)..

but, im softened my stance with Gino.. you wont get the value back for him.

so, IMO, Letang gone for sure.

Fleury, id be fine with him sticking around he never was the main problem. id love to see the numbers he could put under a coach who has these guys play a bit of defense. but, if he sticks around, they better make sure they can sign him, and that he is willing to take a pay cut when deal is up. not sure he would be willing.

new coach? heh, sure, but i think this teams need on ice personal change more than anything. so who knows..

After game 3 I told myself. If the pens want even a sliver of hope, Crosby must go beast mode. But in the playoffs he has been a lebron circa 2007-2010. He can't come through in the clutch. Remember 2009 scf? Malkin won the smythe cause Crosby was a no show for the last 3 games . I'm not saying Crosby is bad. But the "best player in the world " is still an arguable debate.

What, no credit for Lidstrom in 08/09 or Chara this year? Malkin gets to play against teams 2nd units some of the time, and he didn't take advantage of it in this series.

Chara was matched up on Malkin for the majority of the 4 games, not Crosby..
