    a weak PP? lol.. Paul Martin cleaned Matt Martin with a great check. then Matt has to pull down Paul etc and do well, typical Matt Martin things. it was a dumb penalty, selfish one. just like Neals penalty in the 1st period for the Pens was a selfish one.

    i was shocked the Isles didnt score on the Neal penalty, bc usually teams get scored on when they take dumb ones like that. as the Pens did on the Martin one.

    Vokoun's ability to handle the puck was the difference in the game, kept the Islanders from getting to their game, chip dump in, Vokoun passes it out to d man. helped the transition game get going. good stuff.

    Pens deserved that one last night.

        Penguins definitely deserved the win, just after watching the way the Kings vs Blues have played and the lack of penalties for the things going on in that series that penalty itself came off as weak. I didn't see anything over the top that warranted a penalty being called.

            Well the good news about tonight: There's no way these games can be worse than those 3 blowouts last night!

                It might just be me looking back fondly on all those hours I put into NHL 07, but I love listening to Jim Hughson call a game.

                            Jim's good people. Tough to believe it's been... 11-12 years? ...since I worked with him.

                            I preferred his PbP in his younger TSN/Sportsnet days, though. Too much yacking with Craig Simpson while the play's going on, although that might be more CBC's fault than his.
