Re: The Official 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
I'm actually very cordial with the Chicago fans here on OS. Who I'm not cordial with are people (who I'm no longer going to address directly to avoid escalating things in this thread - my apologies for that) who accuse me of letting my negativity get the best of me when expressing a sentiment I've had for years now.
I don't take certain posts kindly and I apologize for responding in kind. I'm done with this spat forever. LGRW!!!Comment

Re: The Official 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
Ya, main thing to love about NHL playoffs over NBA. NBA this year in 1st round was too much dominance. 4 wins separated 4th and 5th in the NBA east. 4 wins separated 2nd and 6th in the NHL East!
Any rumored start date for Bruins/Leafs vs Rangers/Caps series? Since both game 7s are Monday(both being back to back games), I'd guess a Thursday start date(so game 2 could be saturday night(if Leafs are in) or sunday afternoon(if Bruins are in))Comment

Re: The Official 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
Nope, Wednesday. Got to get Game 2 the afternoon spot on NBC on Saturday, and giving them THREE full days off would've been too absurd even by NHL standards.Comment

Why not Tue/Thur and Game 3 on NBC Sunday? That makes more sense. Or is there some golf tournament next week that people find more important?Comment

Re: The Official 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
Do you think so? I mean, there's no doubt that Chicago is the much better team (probably the best team in the league), and I fully expect that they will win the series, but even though the 'Hawks are 4-0-0 against the Wings this season, 3 of those games went to OT. Yes, there was that one national TV pants-ing the Wings took, but other than that, we've been competitive with them. I think we can at least take a game off of them...
Sad in a way to think that this is likely the last playoff series between these great O6-rivals for a long time...hope it ends up being epic.Comment

Re: The Official 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
For what it's worth, I think the back-to-back is a better side to "err" on than the NBA, where a single series can stretch into 3 weeks. I mean, I completely forgot what the matchups were halfway through the 1st round, because it'd be forever between games (and because I don't pay attention 'cuz I hate the NBA...). Back-to-backs aren't ideal, but if they happen once a series or so, I don't think it's the worst thing in the world...Comment

Re: The Official 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
This is completely random but there is a faction of Bruins fans that HATE Chiarelli and Julien and are basically rooting for the Bruins to lose tonight. These people are out in full force today. Does this happen with other fan bases as well? I can understand if your team is a perennial loser but this team won the cup 2 years ago.Comment

Two Game 7s tonight. 8-0 on my predictions is still in play, so go Toronto and Washington! Make me look smart!Last edited by ImTellinTim; 05-13-2013, 09:07 AM.Comment
