They've really got to modify the high stick call in the NHL. If a guy has the skill to corral a puck that's sailing in the air and it's not dangerous to another player then give him his due. Maybe make this a judgement call, whereby if a player high sticks and it's near a player's face/head, then call it dead. Of course, if he hits another player with a high stick then it's a penalty. And do away with the "blood" call for a 4 minute, unless the ref decides something is intentional, somewhat like in basketball.

Trivia du jour:
- I started watching the NHL during the 1980/81 season
- From the start of the 1981 playoffs until the 1984 Stanley Cup Final, the New York Islanders had home ice advantage in 14 of 15 playoff series
- Since then, the Islanders have had home ice in only 1 of 17 playoff series
- If the Isles win today, they'll have home ice for the first time in 27 years (the 1988 Smythe Semifinals, a 4-2 loss to New Jersey)Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. Sens win and they are officially IN. Capping off the incredible late season rally.
PIT or BOS, today is your reckoning. Right now, I guess BOS is the better team as PIT has seemingly fallen apart with injuries.
Should be fun tonight!NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Your wish is granted. Ottawa's playing either Montreal or Tampa. The Rangers will get Pittsburgh, Boston, or Detroit.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that.
