At the moment, they have 15 players tied up for 65M for 2015-2016. Which means Seabrook and/or Sharp will get traded, to get some flexibility to re-sign Krueger and Saad. No one's going to trade for Bickell, Crawford, etc.

Moen traded for Gonchar, my garbage for your garbage.

If the NHL does go this route, they might as well skip the middle man and just have 10 minutes of 3-on-3.

I still think just the added time (5 mins to 10) for a 4 on 4 would help and probably appease the purists who don't want to see 3 on 3. Then again, they already bastardized the game with shootouts anyway so purists have no leg to stand on.

I'm so on board with 3 on 3. I bet Money99 would be happy with it too; open ice, chaotic end to end action and more pretty goals with less traffic clogging up the goal mouth area.

Something has to be done, though. I guess it's too late for this season, but as early as next they should make a change.

Based on my experiences, 3 vs. 3 does result in less traffic up front, but it also introduces a new impediment to goal scoring:

I guess I'm just used to baseball where there's pretty clear mindsets. I suppose the same exists in hockey, just mainly about fighting/no fighting.

I just consider you guys hockey sages. LOL

Speaking of fighting, it looks like McDavid might be injured long term after fighting someone.

Connor McDavid broke his hand or something tonight and it's all Sabres fans can talk about.

It's freakin' November. And he's not even on our team. And there's no guarantee whatsoever that he will be.

****in' losers. How pathetic are you that you're obsessing over the hand of a 17 year older that you think will save your worthless *** franchise?

Maybe the Sharks can make more moves to add on to their off season moves. Maybe get rid of Randy Hahn and not allow anyone to wear and "A" on their jersey. Yeah, that should do it.

Seabrook and or Sharp going is a given, the Hawks are loaded on D in the minors and have some nice pieces up front like Teravinen, McNeill, Danault. No chance they trade Crawford he has been playing great and while it'd be great to dump Bickell like you said they're stuck with him unless they attach some nice prospect to him to make it enticing.

I can see a rough year or two while the young guys get used to the NHL but losing Seabrook (who has had some struggles this year) and/or Sharp isn't going to be back breaking in the long term.

Have to keep Saad and it'd be nice to keep Kruger but he doesn't provide a lot offensively so he could be getting too expensive for his role.

This Bolts/Hawks game has been awesome. I'm shocked there's been no line brawls yet.
