Mike Ricci 2 yrs 7 mil

And it's from the low payroll Coyotes. When you have an aging 3rd line checker getting 3.5 mil a season (Coyotes have been bleeding money .....) how can the owners say they're losing millions?

It's a deal like this that exposes the owners as liars.

I wish the owners would quit bitching about the players salaries especially when they turn around and hand out ludacris contracts like the one given to Ricci.

As you can tell I'm on tbe players side. Nobody forces the owners to give out the huge contracts to the players, they do it with their own freewill.

Its not that bad Ricci is underrated hes good defensively hes a leader he has veteran experience and he can score some but i dont think he should have left SJ
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

          Riccis underrated?

Are you nuts? The Troll-Man is overrated

I agree with asian, no way a guy who got a whopping 26 points in 71 games and 5 in 17 in the playoffs is worth 3.5 mil a season, no matter what kind of intangibles he brings.

I agree with you asianflow except about siding for the players..........

I may do that when they stop holding out for more money when they a) know they are under contract, and b) cannot become a free agent until age 31.

Examples - Allison, Yashin, Peca, Khabibulin.

The owners are no winners either, but as Nick Bakay says "Push, there are no winners here."

First off I read eleswhere Ricci actually signed for 3.5 mil for 2yrs which isn't too bad after all...

as for your point, sure it sucks when players hold out but they can legally do so. If the owners don't like it then they should try to change the rules.

You noticed after everytime a player holds out for a long period he gets dealt like Yashin, Peca, Shaeffer, etc..
