I was, both nights. Really good crowds both nights. It's not as dark as it seems on TV. Just like any other arena. I had to curtail my cheering since I was there on a free ticket from one of the Denver players' dad (related through marriage). He's the 7th defenseman and a freshman, so he didn't dress either night.
They don't play in Duluth this year, which kind of sucks because I'd like to return the favor up here and take them out for dinner and drinks as a thanks for getting me the tickets. Maybe next year.
Both teams are extremely good - both games were really well played and they split. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see these two teams meet in the NCHC Playoffs and the Frozen Four.Comment

This weekend the Bulldogs completed the 4-game sweep of UND for the first time ever. Saturday's 4-0 win was their 2nd ever shutout in ND. The conference is a two-team race.
Riley Tufte finally figured it out too, so that's nice.Comment

The final of the North Star Cup tonight isn't even being shown on TV. But the 3rd place game is. Glad this blatant Gopher money grab is going away. Good riddance. The trophy is made of wood, so whoever wins it tonight should light it on fire.Comment

Not necessarily just the Gophers, but any non-conference opponent the extra weekend was taking up.
Gophers sold it in their season tickets, other teams couldn't do that. Gophers made the other schools pay television expenses even though it's their tournament and should be their expense. That is why only the Gopher games were televised this year. It's a cool idea if it's fair to everyone, which it really wasn't. It simply wasn't worth it for the rest of the schools. It was a good attempt to try and generate some excitement after realignment, I will give it that. But even Gopher attendance and excitement isn't what it used to be since realignment. It's hard to get excited about B1G hockey when every year half the conference sucks, and no one here even cares about half the teams in it (MSU, OSU, PSU).Comment
