    For record keeping, it seems that the play-in games will not count as playoff games. They may be counted as regular seasons games though, which could come into play for the Vatanen and Neal trades.
    If that's the case, aren't regular season awards still unfinalized then?

      I think the official regular season stuff is done. I should have been a bit more clear in my wording.

      In the Neal case, both sides teams could make a case on whether Neal would hit the goal mark or not, and rather than the NHL ruling on one side or another, use the play in games as a compromise. NHL hasn't made a decision yet, but that's what they're discussing.
