So all eight Eastern Conference playoff teams have 100 points. First time one conference has had eight 100 point teams.

Credit that to expansion and the loser overtime point. But still it gives you an idea about what kind of bloodbath the playoffs are going to be. Some very good teams are going to get crushed quick. I expect a lot of overtime games and fluky, deflected goals off of defensemen for maximum chaos.

The Wild have now made the playoffs 9 out of 10 years. A highly unsusual streak of success for a Minnesota team that isn’t named the Lynx or a college hockey program.

It really doesn’t feel like it though. I think it’s 2 series wins in all that time.

Judging by the past couple games with them, Wild/Blues should be off the rails.

I credit it more to the other half of the east not being good.

For the longest while, the Red Wings were at a point per game average and were the 9 seed. You knew months ago the 8 playoff teams in the east.

You also know who wins the Leafs series, so that's 1 less thing to worry about in terms of unpredictability.

Arizona just trying to make life miserable for the playoff-bound West-Central teams the last week or so....came back from down 3 goals in the 3rd on the Blues to force OT, beat the Wild in reg yesterday and the Stars in OT tonight. Unfortunately for Vegas they couldn't help themselves.

Blues need some help from either the Flames or Avs, as well as beating the Knights to get home ice in what's going to be an exciting first round against the Wild.
