Hossa will always be a Senator to me. Flyers and Ottawa had some battles in the early 00s playoffs, damn if we weren’t the only team they had much playoff success against. Great player, was involved in some notable events being the player who’s stick lacerated Bryan Berard’s eye and being traded to ATL for Danny Heatley shortly after his car accident.

The Leafs have lost 5 times in OT...in less than a 4 week span!

      6-2-5 in that span!

The 2023 Playoffs will be fun. I wonder what way they'll lose this time. Blow a 3-0 series lead? Come back from down 3-0 to lose in 7? Triple OT game 7?

Blues set an obscure NHL record of being the first team to win 7 or more games in a row immediately after losing 8 or more.

The Central division being what it is, they're pretty much right back in the playoff picture.

Yea I know....Where's he been before and now he likes to just drop in at this time when things are going good! Well, it's correct about that saying, its always good times when the devil is smiling again

I never get why the NHL doesn't just schedule all Canadian matchups during US Thanksgiving. Fans would obviously go to it like a normal game.

Devils found the back of the net 4 times, but lost to the Leafs 2-1.

Let's just say fans weren't happy with 3 disallowed goals.

Why would they do that? Don't you want to maximize the number of home games for American teams on a U.S. holiday? All of the Canadian teams should be playing in the U.S. on U.S. Thanksgiving as far as I am concerned.

What I never understood is why the Blue Jays sometimes play a home game on July 4. Why have an American team play a road game when they could be at home and enjoy a big gate. It really doesn't matter if they play at home against the Jays on July 4 people are still going to come out.

I don't think hockey on US Thanksgiving would be as popular when you have things like football all day.

But just having it in Canada wouldn't matter since it's just another day for fans here.

Typically by US Thanksgiving, most teams who are in a playoff spot in the NHL end up making the playoffs (I think the stat was 77% or something, which averages out to 12 or 13 of the 16 teams)

With that said, current playoff standings:
                      Atlantic:
                      Bruins
                      Leafs
                      Wings

                      Metro:
                      Devils
                      Islanders
                      Canes

                      WC:
                      Lightning
                      Pens

                      Central:
                      Stars
                      Avs
                      Jets

                      Pacific:
                      Vegas
                      Kraken
                      Kings

                      WC:
                      Blues
                      Oilers

So with that said, which teams won't end up making it from that list, and who isn't on there that will?

I'd say Wings fall out, Lightning move into top 3, and Panthers get a WC spot. The west I could see sticking.

Calgary missing the playoffs would be a colossal failure.
