Who's the new boss? Not Tanenbaum?

Also, Shanny's entering the last season of his contract, so they pretty much have to fire him or extend him.

As far as trading one of the core, they all have full NMC. It's the Muskoka Five all over again. The Leafs might be able to convince Marner and/or Tavares to waive around the trade deadline, but you won't like what you get in return.

Don't remember if they said how long Treliving is signed for.

Marners free agency in 2025 is gonna be the nail in the coffin. He's for sure asking for more than Nylander or Matthews got and Leafs have to pay him. Only hope is Tavares taking a real team friendly deal to retire here and try getting a cup.

As for the new head, it's Keith Pelley. Might not be a notable name to people, but he's run the Argos before and basically the head guy for the Olympic coverage in Vancouver and one of the key guys in negotiating the NHL/Rogers deal and then went on to be the head guy for the PGA Euro Tour.

Don't think he'll be as impactful as Tim Leiweke was (he had a short run here but completely changed the game for sports in this city for the better, but also rubbed those corporate execs who know nothing about sports the wrong way even though he was helping the sports teams a lot, they just care about money) but he seems like a guy who'll demand results.

Colorado has the worst goalie in the playoffs.

You score 6 goals on the guy who's gonna win the Vezina this year but it doesn't matter because your all-star goalie sucks.

Allowing 7 goals without facing double digit shots in any period is impressive.

                      Marners future is so tough.

He has a NMC so he can and probably will veto any trade (no way his dad wants him anywhere but Toronto, except maybe Ottawa but only if Sens were already a good team).

But then in free agency he's demanding the world and then some which will cripple the team even more.

But you also can't just let him walk in free agency....

I thought the Leafs were the better team tonight and deserved the win.

Not often you see the winning team from Game 1 change goalies and the losing team stick with their goalie. (I realize Boston has rotated goalies all year but a bit odd in the playoffs).

And the streak of home teams winning in the playoffs ends at six.

Swayman definitely starts game 3, even if Ullmark had a shutout.

Question for the Leafs, does Nylander return in game 3?

You love to see a guy coming back from a long gruelling injury and making a statement. Must have sucked for Vegas having him out for so long and having to suffer without him or his cap hit...

                                Gotta love the NHL personalities...

Geno: Connor, lets start with the hard hitting question. Game 1 of the playoffs, how do you decide what suit to wear?

McDavid: Just gotta treat it like any other game.....

He lobs one in for you to just give a funny ice breaking answer and that's all you give.

                                In other games....
Islanders up 3-1 after 2. Canes had 17 shots in the 3rd and scored 4 times. Islanders had 12 shots all game!

And Marchand is getting fined for diving.......right?

The audio is the Bruins radio guys and even they felt it was ridiculous. If you look closer, Marchand grabs the leg that WASN'T "slashed". So he dove and also sold the wrong leg.
