I turned it on last night and was able to drive a tee shot 312 yards, while hooking it right down a dogleg. My shots weren't as straight, but the improved flexibility allowed me to shoot a -9 on Tour Level for the 18 hole tourney. That thing really makes a difference!

It does make a difference being able to work the ball is an important part of the game. I also like how now I will hit slight fades and draws while trying to hit the ball straight.


I finished the Ametuer Tourney last night with a -3. Tonight I start to tackle to Pro ranking

Damn, good job on the amateur tourney. I totally "Tin Cup'd" one hole and shot a 13 on it...finished at +10 for the day in that one . It was certainly interesting to watch though...splash-splash-splash-splash. It asked me if I wanted to concede, I said no out of spite. I HAD to sink that ball!

what place did you finish at +10? The second place guy in my Tourney was +4.

Just curious to see if the CPU scores are set or if they are random

I won the tourney, tied at +10 with about 3 others. Since I finished last, it gave me the win.

One thing I'd like to see is teeing off in the middle of the day, and maybe having to watch a (sped up, obviously) leaderboard to see if anybody beats your already-placed score.

Finally picked up the game. The Career mode is really fun. I still can't hit the ball far. Do you guys get any trajectory on your shots? Most of my shots run on to the green instead of flying and sticking. I accepted a match play challenge at Princeville and got my a$$ handed to me. I lost 5 down. I also accepted another match challenge at Poppy Hills and I lost 1 down. I did manage to win a skills challenge and the first stroke play match (back nine)

I do get some slow down when there seems to be a lot of trees around. This affects my tempo and doesn't allow me to hit the ball very far. Any suggestions?

The shot trajectories are a function of your attributes and difficulty being pretty low when you first begin Career Mode. This improves gradually as you add attributes and improve your skills.

As far as the graphics slowdown, play around with the slider in the options menu and the tree movements. The trees cause more slowdown than anything else in the game. Alos make sure you have the latest drivers for your particular video card.
