Re: Final verdict on TW 2003???
I think it depends on your expectations.
I love it, have barely touched any other game since I got it 10 days ago. Inside Drive 2003 is gathering dust. But all I was expecting was an arcade game, it is a console game after all.
It is easy to hit it long & straight, but the short game (especially putting) definitely takes some practice. For me matches/challenges are won or lost in the short game, mostly on the green.
The computer golfers have catch-up logic and the Tiger Challenges have some scripted AI. Doesn't bother me, this is a console game and that is how console games ramp-up the difficulty.
Everybody shoots great; you will get lots of eagles and chip in way too much. Unrealistic for sure, but it's tons of fun kicking *** on real life courses. I love this part of TW 2003 (being able to shoot way under par). Something to keep in mind though if you demand more realism.
Graphics and sound are top-notch especially if you have a 5.1 setup.
If you are looking for a PC-like sim you will probably be disappointed.
But if you are looking for a "pick up and play" arcade golf game where your friends or family can have success without a lot of practice, I couldn't recommend TW 2003 xbox more highly.
It really is a fun game, with lots of challenges & beautiful courses -

Re: Final verdict on TW 2003???
Yes, it's a fun game...a bit frustrating when you get into the later challenges because the AI is so...uh...tough. But it really is a great game. There are 29 Tiger Challenges and 50 scenarios not to mention the tour events. I was thinking about taking this one back since I picked up the pc version, but the two game actually compliment one another very well. If you want the pick up and play deal, the Xbox version is perfect, and no console golf game looks better. If you're feeling serious about your golf, pop in the pc version and you might struggle to hit it out of your shadow. I'm not sure how much I will play the Xbox version once I unlock everything, but that will be awhile yet. Even if you're a serious golfer like me, the Xbox version offers enough realism to keep you occupied for awhile anyway. I've actually played my Xbox version a lot more than the pc version...I've even played it more than GTA Vice City. It is a good game. No, I didn't draft Grossman on my fantasy team, what do you think I am an idiot?
