Where do you store your clubs???

I know this might sound like a dumb question....but I just started playing golf again after not playing for 3 years. I, specifically, stored my clubs indoors because I didnt want them to rust.

However, I went to go get them out of one of my bedrooms and the damn irons were filled with specs of rust on the memphis ten shafts. The room I left them in was sometimes very muggy and I believe this is the reason why they were rusted.

I got some rust remover from Home Depot and most of the rust has been removed. However, now the irons just have what looks like little dings on them instead of rust.

I'm now storing the clubs in a well air-conditioned and well ventilated room.

Just wondering where everyone else stores there clubs???

And should I now think about re-shafting the clubs or will they be ok???

Not a good idea. Your grips can be ruined from the dramatic temperature change inside the trunk. You should leave them someplace where moisture isn't going to build up and also where severe temperature changes won't occur.

              Basement.

The only reason I don't keep them in my car is that Pittsburgh roads are soooo terrible that those things would be rattling around back there all the time. Plus I clean them up after every round of golf so I have to take them out of the trunk for that.

In addition to grip damage, extreme temperature can effect the epoxy used to hold the heads to the shafts. Just another thing to take into consideration.

Thats true you dont want your club head to fall after making contact with the ball, but I still keep them in the trunk. Also if you play alot of golf like me you are supposed to change your grips at least once a year.
