I will go out on a limb...and Preorder TW 06 for Xbox

Why? I dunno...not happy with football this year, can't make a decision on which hockey game to buy, still suck at MVP, and play FN2 only about once a week...this leaves the door wide open for Tiger and friends.

You know, the only time I really liked this game was in 1999 (on PSOne). Yes, it was still 3-click but the putting was a thing of beauty (before they changed it in 2000. I played the crap out of 99 and haven't kept any version of the series for more than a rental since. So here goes, with them claiming to change some things such as putting, maybe this will be the year.

I just hope it is immersive as a single player game.

Besides, I will get it for 30 bucks at BB w/ 2 trade-ins so if I don't like it I will trade it back in and break even (trade in value should be about 30 bucks).

I don't think you'll regret this decision. I'm hearing some very positive reports about the 360 version of Tiger Woods 2006. This dual thumbstick control method (as long as you lay off the post shot-shaping crap) and the return of the slope grid for putting/chipping are rife with potential. The graphics are clearly going to be beyond anything we've seen in a golf game, console or PC!
