Which Version of TW is the best of All Time?

I know that the gaming companies put things in, then take them out, then put them back in again. I loved TW 99 on the PS One and this is my first time owning it since, and I feel a little underwhelmed. Which leads me to ask, which is the best TW to date? Not just gameplay, but also graphics, presentation, etc. Which is the best?

2004 for the PC, though I haven't gotten a chance to play 2006 yet.

I second the vote for 2004 - PC, once the patch was installed and the tree rendering distance was restored to 2003's distance. The courses of the 2004 version were by far and away the best ever offered on the PC. I haven't gone through the trouble required to install some of these 2004 courses in the 2006 version, but I'm hearing some good things about how well they convert... actually, they are reported to be upgraded significantly.

I've been hearing the same thing. I'm planning on heading out to buy a copy of 2004 so I can have the stock courses to install and play on 2006.

So after I buy 2004 for the PC, how do I get the patch? Also, are there galleries (with people) in this version? Thanks.

TW99 for PC. CGI players are weak.

I made the switch to TW 04 for the PC...and it's great!

I already have 2004 and like it a lot. Is the upgrade to 2006 worth the $39.99 price tag? Are there enough differences? I've read some reviews where people said the differences weren't that major.
