    Going to the Driving Range

I've done pitch and putt numerous times before but yesterday was the first time I ever went to the driving range.

I surprised myself that I was able to drive the ball over a 100 yards a few times.
I never thought you could get tired playing golf, but my arms/hands were sore after hitting 50 balls.

I'm thinking about buying a driver now.

Yeah, I played for the first time this year on Saturday, 18 holes. Man I couldn't move later that night. I was like where is the Advil or Loritab or something. People think you are stupid when you tell em you've gotta get in golf shape, but it is the truth.

Sounds like you are in the beginning stages of getting the fever. All it takes is a couple drives over 200 and you will be hooked. The soreness will go away after a few times out, just like any other sport. You are just using muscles you've not had to before.

      Good luck.

I love golf season! Theres nothing better than getting up before work and getting 9 holes in. I plan on working on short game most of the beginning of the season before the local tourneys start. Once the golf bug gets you, theres no getting read of it.

Damn, what time do you get to work!

I wish I could go before work, but considering I leave my house for work around 7am and it's somewhat dark then, I don't think it's happening! Although there have been Fridays that I'll take my clubs with me and when I leave work (approx 6) I'll get 9 in at a nearby club.

Golf is a great game. It just takes a lot of patience and understanding.

I work down the street from my club. I get up and leave around 7, get to the course around 7:20, play till 8:40 (usually 7-9 holes, depending on how fast my buddy is) then get to work around 9. My job is extremely lenient, as long as you get your work done, you can come and go as you please. Its very refreshing.

That's pretty nice. I'd much prefer to play in the morning when not many people are on the course and I don't get stuck behind some slower moving people (as is sometimes the case on Friday after work). Plus it would wake me up for work!!
