I went out to play golf yesterday with my cousin, my first time since I hurt my knees 5 years ago to the day... I had been wanting to go for quite a while, so I finally went out yesterday.
To my suprise, I actually shot quite well. On the back 9 (which we played first because the front nine was packed)... I was extremely rusty, but still managed 15 over par, lol. Not bad for someone who hadn't played in so long.
I started finally getting everything back together on the 18th hole, before we started on the front nine.
We start the front 9, and I par the first 3 holes. On #4, a 288 yd par 4, I tee off and drive it all the way to the green, 4 feet from the cup. I was ecstatic. Had to have been the shot of the day, no doubt.
I ended up shooting 7 over par, due to one "water penalty" lol in which I hit a duck (literally, hit the duck, lol). I was quite happy, since it's my first time in a LONG time. Just thought I'd share.
