Re: Who Is Ready For Team Tournaments In Tiger 07(360)
i think it's always been slightly realstic. you can't have a perfect game people. it's just not possible. if there were a perfect game, sequals wouldn't get made. where is the fun in that? lets just enjoy it and have funComment

Realism? Tiger Woods? I guess there are golfers who swing clubs and stuff but that's where the attempt at realism ends. The next time you play with a guy who starts holing out wedges from 135 like it's nothing let me know.Comment

Okay, being fair, the 360 version featured a much better engine last year and played a dramatically better game of golf. It would be nice to be able to set the game up as tough as I want though without that silly Tiger Proofing feature. A decent enough idea but adding another skill level that really hurts on mi****s would be better. Hey, I'm definitely buying this year's game for the 360!Comment

I had both versions... bought the PS2 one when it came out (maybe it was 2005 with Tiger Proofing, they tend to blend together) and then when I got a 360 I rented that version (and enjoyed it).
Edit - Regardless, the game is not even close to as tough as it should be. I play shot online golf and stuggle to shoot par. I play Tiger Woods and a shooting par is an oddity.Last edited by ComfortablyLomb; 09-26-2006, 10:20 PM.Comment

As far as Shot online goes, lets see how successful it is with the mass market and will the game survive. One thing that EA does better than anyone producing Golf games is connecting to the mass market or casual user. What they fail MISERABLY at is allowing their hardcore customers the capability to set the kind of challenge and difficulty they wish to play at. If they ever address this, they will dominate the market much moreso than they do now.PC / Xbox One X

Dense. Whether or not it's a challenge to beat someone else who like you is also posting ridiculous low scores has nothing to do with whether or not the game is too easy in terms of how it plays. You and your online vet are playing the same game with the same rules and the same flaws so you're going at each other with the same tools. Thus, the level of competition would be good since it's raw skill versus raw skill. Too bad that has nothing to do with how the golf engine plays! A round in the mid-60s should be a great accomplishment and a score around par should be the norm for a golf simulation. Scores in the low 60s and the occational sub-60 round should true rarities. They're not and you seem to be missing this point.Comment

I agree that TW is not as challenging as it should be. No argument.

i don't buy games for realstic experiences that i could have in real life. i buy them for fun. i won't even touch most games anymore unless i can have some sort of online challenge. that's where the fun is at.Comment
