The release date for Tiger has been moved up to next Tuesday for 360. I'm not sure about XBOX/PS2.

Date has been changed back to 10/17/06 at EB Games, as of today. Oh well... that will give them time to get those unlock codes ready for download

I'll be watching the impressions here closely for Tiger this year. As long as it plays a MUCH more realistic game of golf, I'll pick it up. Past versions of this game have been way to easy to putt and sink fairway shots with unrealistic frequency.

My fingers are crossed as this game looks amazing on the 360 !!!

A reason to be optimistic would be that Tiger player more difficult on the 360 last year than it did on the PS2. I would have bought last year's version if I had the cash at the time...

I wish they would make up their damn minds about the release date.

If they sell unlock codes, I'll pass. I don't think this is the intent of the DL content strategy though....if it is, I think it is doomed to fail and I will contribute heavily to it's failure if that is indeed the case.

Tim, I can't interpret Chip Lange's comments to IGN any other way: "The Tiger team is taking a creative approach to it. You can either unlock or buy the courses, depending on your gaming preference."

That only speaks to content on the disk, in my interpretation. Granted, IGN didn't pursue this any further to ask if there would be "expansion" courses in the future, like they should have done. The fact that EA Sports hasn't hinted of what we're thinking of in terms of add-on courses for this title thus far, tells me that it won't be an option. I hope I'm wrong.
